You will notice just right of the cord there is a small oval shaped hole. This hole was the original spot for the cord to come out.
The designers had changed their minds and placed it where you see the cord coming out now.
Unfortunatlly they didn't take the first hole plan off of the blueprint and this resulted in a large production of the Montreal tables being made with the extra hole.
This flaw is very small but it still didn't meet up with GLD's standards of perfection so they took $200.00 off the price of the tables, if you purchase this table from a seller make sure you look for the hole.
